Remove soil to create a trench 12" deep to 24" wide.  Shape the slope to allow for 12" of drainage material behind the wall.

Place filter cloth in trench and up cut slope.  Fill trench with well graded angular gravel and compact to a depth of 6".

Position a level string line to mark the location of the first course.  Place units in center of prepared base and ensure unit is level from front to back and side to side.

Sweep units and place next course of units on top in a running bond pattern.   The edge of the unit should be at the middle of the unit below.

Place drain tile and free draining soil behind wall.  Place gravel in front of wall to cover the first course.  Compact all soil.  Alternate between backfilling and placing units.

Use approved adhesive to attach coping to the top of the wall.  Use a line of adhesive near the front and back of the unit.

Pull filter cloth towards top of wall and cover with soil.  Ensure water will run away from wall.
